About the Author
Rafaela Costa Camões Rabello has worked as a social responsibility practitioner
in the oil and gas sector in the Brazilian Amazon. In her role, she was involved with
social impact assessment, social risk management/monitoring, social safeguard planning, voluntary resettlement and livelihood restoration of traditional communities of
the Amazon. Rafaela has also worked with public consultation, social communication plan, stakeholder engagement mapping and planning, and in-reach and out-reach
social investment programmes.
Rafaela holds a Ph.D. in Social Investment in the energy sector and a Master’s
degree in Education, awarded by the University of Otago, New Zealand. She also
has a degree in Psychology from the University Centre of Brasilia, Brazil. Rafaela
is currently a Research Fellow to the Building New Zealand’s Capacity (BNZIC)
Spearhead. Rafaela is a social scientist responsible for leading research on the 3D/4D
Printing additive manufacturing and the Veracity spearheads, as well as leading
cutting-edge research in design-led interventions within the BNZIC spearhead.
Rafaela publishes in the fields of social responsibility, inclusive and responsible
innovation, innovation management and higher education. Within her short academic
career, Rafaela was awarded Emerald’s 2019 literary award for outstanding author
contribution in corporate social responsibility.
