was utilized to obtain the micrographs. The Vickers microhardness of Ni-CNT and
Ni-GNP composites was obtained under a load of 0.5 N for 10 s. At least ten readings
were obtained for each composite sample, and the average was taken into consideration. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis was performed to determine the phases
present in the nanocomposite. The tensile test was performed to evaluate the tensile
properties of pure nickel and Ni-CNT composites. The tensile samples were cut using
electric discharge machining with a gauge section having a gauge length, width, and
thickness of 5.0, 1.0, and 1.0 mm, respectively. The test was carried out at room
temperature at a strain rate of 10
−3 mm/s, and at least two samples were tested for
qualitative analysis.
