Abstract
The appearance of scientific revolution in the period of Enlightenment is
explained as a consequence of the interplay between three factors: mechanical
philosophy, new approach in scientific education, and internationalization“objectification” of science. I also argue how the relationship between scientific
practice and public education is bidirectional: science must be in the base of
education, but, conversely, the educational methods provide special requirements to science to be organized in a specific way. In addition, it is explained
how determinism has appeared in science and philosophy.
