nuclear power plant are shown in Table 4.4 (by October 22, 2019). It can be seen that
China’s nuclear power plants are sited more closely to the load centers. However,
due to the relatively small total installed capacity, the nuclear power plants are still
far from meeting the demand for electricity in these regions, a large share of which
have to be transmitted through the power grid over long distance.
