mapping technique that requires a large number of microphones (at least 60) arranged
on a plane antenna (grid) placed parallel to the object to be studied. The dimensions
of the test room and the background noise level also allow aeroacoustic tests for
building and aeronautics.
On the same site, a smaller wind tunnel is used for tests on 2/5 scale models.
The maximum velocity of the flow is 240 km/h. A six-component balance allows
measurement of the aerodynamic forces. In addition to the automobile applications,
it is also used for tests on bicycle and drones.
Founded in 2002, Aero Concept Engineering (ACE) in Magny-Cours conducts
numerous aerodynamic studies, particularly in the field of motorsport. It is equipped
