3.4 Effect of Number of Inlet Tangential Port and Tangential
Port Angle on Volume Flow Rate
The effect of number of inlet tangential ports on volume flow rate is shown in Fig. 9.
From this plot, an increase in volume flow rate with an increase in injection pressure
is observed. The pressure difference between the atmospheric pressure and injection
pressure may lead to this trend. Pressure difference is directly proportional to the
volume flow rate for incompressible fluids. So any increase in the injection pressure,
