9.5.4.4 Main Ways to Improve Starting Characteristic of Power
Supply System
According to the above analysis and test verification, the main way to improve the
starting characteristics of power supply system is to match reasonably the pressure
characteristics of the starting section of the gas generator.
The gas pressure in the starting section of the gas generator consists of the
following parts:
p q ¼ p y þ p s þ p z
ð9:70Þ
where
p q Start-up pressure;
p y Ignition component pressure;
p s Delay pipe pressure;
p z Main grain pressure.
When the pressure choosing and matching designing of the three parts of the
starting section of gas generator, the factors such as burning rate change, pressure
matching and delay time under high and low temperature conditions should be
taken into account so as to make the comprehensive gas pressure of the three parts
meet the requirements of starting characteristics.
