Creating classes
To create a new class, on the File menu, click New Class. You can also create a new
class by right-clicking on the free space in the class navigator and choosing New
Class in the pop-up menu, as shown in Fig. 2.6.
This opens a dialog box where you can set various attributes of the class being
created, as shown in Fig. 2.7.
You can set the following attributes:

Modes of operation in the Model Center
The Class Window uses three possible views to display the various properties of the
class.
Icon View: graphic mode showing the icon of this class (model). The icon will
represent the model we have created in the future if we want to use it as a component
of another, more complex model.
Diagram View: graphical mode, showing the chart of this class (model). The
diagrams visually show the structure of the model, in the case when components
were used to create the model (ready-made or created by the user). Otherwise, the
categories window in this mode will remain empty.
Modelica Text View: view mode code written in the Modelica language (textual
representation) of the Modelica class.
