About the Editors
Anita Singh is an assistant professor at Centre of Advanced Study in Botany,
Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, UP, and India. She has
completed her M.Sc. and Ph.D. at Banaras Hindu University. Her expertise falls
under the domain of sustainable agriculture. Dr. Singh has worked on metal remediation, impact of abiotic stress on plant physiology and biochemistry, and assessment of florescence transients. She has 40 publications to her credit. She is a
recipient of several awards including the International Green Talent Award
presented by BASF, Germany, and the International Alice J. Murphy Outstanding
Achievement Award. Dr. Singh has edited some informative books published by
Springer Nature, IGI, and John Wiley & Sons Ltd. and she has also reviewed several
papers published in the reputed journals.
Madhoolika Agrawal is a professor at Centre of Advanced Study in Botany,
Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India, since 1999. She
has worked on environmental pollution and global climatic change effects and their
management. Dr. Agrawal is a recipient of the US Fulbright Fellowship and has
worked at USDA, Beltsville, Maryland, USA, and INSA–Royal Society exchange
fellowship at Lancaster University, UK. She is a fellow of the Indian National
Science Academy, the National Academy of Sciences, and the National Academy
of Agricultural Sciences, India. Dr. Agrawal has worked on various projects funded
by the Government of India and international agencies. She has published more than
250 research papers, co-edited a book (Lewis Publishers, Boca Raton, USA), and
co-authored a book (Springer).
Shashi Bhushan Agrawal is a professor of ecology at Centre of Advanced Study in
Botany, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University. He has completed his M.Sc.
at Agra University and Ph.D. at Banaras Hindu University. Professor Agrawal has
worked in the area of stress biology and conducted long-term field experiments to
