Fig. 3 Parameters affecting biosynthesis of nanoparticles by different fungal species
ions concentration, temperature and pH of reaction mixture which usually play a
vital role in determining both size and shape of the formed nanoparticles. The rate
of intracellular synthesis of NPs could, to an extent, be influenced by scheming
parameters such as temperature, pH, substrate concentration and exposure period to
substrate (Feroze et al. 2020; Fouda et al. 2017a, b; Mohamed et al. 2019).
Researchers have investigated the optimization of numerous parameters as temperature, inoculum of fungal biomass, pH and precursor concentration in the mycosynthesis of Ag-NPs, ZnO-NPs and Au-NPs from Trichoderma spp., Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, A. terreus, A. niger and C. cladosporioides (Fouda et al. 2017a, b, 2018; Joshi
et al. 2017; Ramos et al. 2020; Saxena et al. 2016). They showed that optimizing
the above factors will promote significantly the Ag-NPs, ZnO-NPs and Au-NPs
mycosynthesis as well as its output. Moreover, the optimization of physical as well
as cultural conditions during the mycosynthesis of Ag-NPs from F. oxysporum had
a significant impact on their size as was investigated (Husseiny et al. 2015).
