Chapter 1 starts with an overview of what infrastructure covers and how essential
it is to everyday life. Apart from technical infrastructure, there are other sectors, as
well as economic, social, and, more specially, critical infrastructure.
Chapter 2 tries to show how macroeconomists relate infrastructure – in the
general sense of the term – to the development of a country, with possible economic
growth, and negatively in some cases.
