to designate those who carry out the activities required to implement the project.
They may be broadly classified under the general and the specialist contractor.
General contractors are those contractors having a wide and varied knowledge
and adequate experience, who are able to accept responsibility for the completion of
the whole project.
Specialist contractors are those contractors who restrict their activities to particular types of work. The specialist contractor may accomplish his services as a
sub-contractor to the general contractor, who will then be acting as co-ordinator.
Otherwise, the specialist contractor may provide his services through a contract
directly between the Promoter and himself.
Thus, a tour operator organises trips abroad for you and is the general contractor.
The specialist contractors here would be the aircraft company and the hotels where
you will be staying.
22.2.3.4 The Funding Agency
Every project requires funds. While the Promoter (or Client) may already have funds

However, when the project funds required are bulky, a Funding Agency (such as the

Agency is to loan money, but they also have an interest in getting the loan back. The
steps that they take to ensure this are best described in the following section.

to make things better. Thus, leaders, who have a certain vision of their country in the
