5. To provide an overview of the present knowledge on peatland management and
general best practices, which are replicable for peatlands throughout Indonesia.
This concept of the principle is designed to be used by various stakeholders in
Indonesia, such as policymakers, peatland managers (concessionaires), researchers,
local governments, and communities. This chapter can help all stakeholders understand eco-management practices on peatlands based on appropriate best-practice
choices.
