Nanopesticides in Agriculture

Abstract
Nanotechnology is any engineered materials, structures, systems, and process
which exist or operate at a scale of 100 nm or less (1 nm ¼ 10
À9 m). The excess
use of pesticides causes environmental pollution. Nanotechnology provides a
window for the agricultural pollution for pesticides. The overuse of pesticides is
the major concern for environmental pollution. Nanotechnology is an emerging
technology that occupies an increasingly important position in the latest range of
technologies. There has been a particular interest in developing novel
nanoagrochemicals. Environmental fate of agrochemicals causes the dying need
for nanopesticides in the agriculture. In this book chapter, we discuss the different
types of nanopesticides.
