Calculation of Net Solar Energy on Earth
The total earth surface is being clarified by characterizing various directional angles
considering the Cartesian coordinate system, where x denotes skyline convention, y
denotes east-west, and z denotes zenith in order to measure the total solar irradiance
during the day the entire year (Fig. 2.1). The position of the celestial body in this
Fig. 2.1 (a) Cartesian coordinate clarification of south is x, west is y, and zenith is z that has been
clarified in order to calculate the total solar energy reaching earth considering that the average
energy density of solar energy on the surface of earth is 1366 W/m
2 by implementing the diameter
of the earth as 10,000,000 of meridian at the North Pole to the equator and the radius of earth as
2/π × 10
7 m. The location of this celestial body is analyzed by determining two angles of sinθ and
cosθ. (b) The longitudinal and latitudinal equatorial angles have been clarified where the convention z-axis point denotes the North Pole and the east-west axis and y-axis denote the identical
angles of the horizon
