intends to illustrate. Soils and their inhabitants do not conform to closed loops
(Chap. 2, Fig. 2) and it is not easy to develop mechanisms allowing shelf-organization
[64, 154]. A more refined view of all the potential contributions of the soil biodiversity organisms to soil processes is needed that International agendas as GSBI (Global
Soil Biodiversuty Initiative, [155]), IPBES (Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, [156]), or the UN Sustainable Development Goals, can better integrate their efforts in a sustainable management and
climate change mitigation policies.
