objective of the account is to provide the funds, and therefore the major strategy, to
conserve, repair and replenish Australia’s natural capital infrastructure. This law
finances the major national expenditure on the Australian environment, particularly
for sustainable agriculture and natural resources management. The Natural Heritage
Trust Advisory Committee established under this law is responsible for managing
this law and the account which funds various major national natural resource programs which are crucial for sustainable management of soil.

At the state level, there are around 95 individual laws that establish primary
standards, rules, and procedures for natural resource evaluation, resource policymaking, auditing and compliance—that have a significant effect on soil conservation
