3.18 Ligularia brassicoides Handel-Mazzetti
Ligularia brassicoides is close morphologically and taxonomically to L. virgaurea,
and a main difference between these species is related to the conspicuous/obscure
reticulate veins in the leaves (Plates 12a and 12b) [2]. From sample 1, the bakkane
637 was isolated, and from sample 2, four furanoeremophilanes (184, 255, 256, and
284), a lactone (529), a bakkane (637), the seco-eremophilane secovirgaurenol D
(155), and a phenol (1006) were obtained (Table 21) [117]. Sample 3 was assigned
