By fitting the tracer test data with the above equation solution, the dispersity and
effective porosity are obtained (Tables 5.105 and 5.106).
5. Investigation on groundwater environment conditions of the typical site
(1) Design of groundwater environment monitoring scheme
In this study, Beijing Centralized Hazardous Waste Disposal Center is selected as
the typical site. It is a comprehensive centralized disposal center with an annual
capacity of 57,000 tons of hazardous wastes, integrating storage, physico-chemical
treatment, incineration, landfill and comprehensive utilization of resources. The
requirements for the comprehensive disposal site in the Draft Guidance are:
(1) provide one background monitoring well in the upstream area of the groundwater flow of the site; (2) provide one monitoring well for pollution control in the
downstream area of the groundwater flow of various hazardous waste disposal
units; (3) provide one monitoring well for pollution diffusion in the downstream
area of the groundwater flow of the site. If the landfill site is located in the
downstream area of the groundwater flow of the disposal site, the same monitoring
well may be used for pollution diffusion of the landfill site and pollution diffusion of
the disposal site.
