(e) Health risk control value
Characterized based risk that this IN A landfill ground phosphorous, fluorine
contamination by drinking groundwater this kind way the original receptor field of a
non-oncogenic harm index exceeds the acceptable hazard level (1). According to
“contaminated sites Risk Assessment Guidelines” (HJ25.3–2014) corresponding
formula, by HERA software interest is calculated based contaminants
non-carcinogenic hazards groundwater risk control value (target repair) (see
Table 5.36).
As identified in risk characterization, for in situ receptors, the hazard quotient of
phosphorous and fluorine in the groundwater through intake pathway is beyond the
acceptable level, so the control values (target levels) are calculated using the HERA
model in accordance with the Technical Guidelines for Risk Assessment of
Contaminated Sites (HJ25.3–2014) (Table 5.36).
As shown in Table 5.36, the target levels for phosphorus and fluorine are calculated, based on non-cancer hazard, to be 0.0000948 mg/L and 0.19 mg/L
respectively. Since the non-standard landfill is still in operation, local environmental authorities should order to stop piling up waste and develop appropriate
remediation measures. Only by doing so, the calculation of target levels can be of
practical significance.
