• DP generates bill of disassembly process (BODP) based on life cycle options of
each component considering cost and revenue associated with them. If necessary,
DP consults with PM for estimating disassembly cost.
• DP sends recommending life cycle options and corresponding BODP for each
EOL product by showing resulting revenue and cost.
• PM receives the life cycle options and BODP for each product and determines
whether accept them or not. If PM does not accept them, PM sends modification
request to DP.
• PM makes (or updates) disassembly schedule based on BODP and evaluate it
considering the capacity and availability of work forces and disassembly equipment. If some part of BODP cannot be executed by currently available disassembly
equipment and disassembly operators, PM also sends modification request to DP.
• After PM accepts life cycle options and BODP of each EOL product, DE generates
work instruction and control program for disassembly equipment consulting with
IP. IP informs technological information about disassembly equipment. DE also
consults with PM when detailing work instruction for disassembly operator, if
necessary.
• DE sends work instruction and control program for disassembly equipment to
PM.
Disassembly execution stage
• DO executes disassembly tasks based on the instruction receiving from DP via
PM in cooperation with disassembly equipment that are controlled by the program
provided by DE.
• DO and disassembly equipment (DEq) reports the status and results of tasks when
they terminates.
• Scheduling and process management system records the status of the tasks and
updates and modifies future schedule of the system.
To support the activities and information exchange among roles and stakeholders
involved, a public IIoT service platform and two private IIoT service platforms are to
be implemented. The former is used for information exchange among all stakeholders
involved. The latter two is used inside of two stakeholders (i.e. CDSP and DF) for
their particular purposes (e.g. generation of BODP, control program for DEq, work
instruction for DOs, and scheduling and management of disassembly tasks).
Because the tasks determining adequate life cycle options for each individual
component, generation of BODP and corresponding work instruction and control
program are time consuming tasks when customizing them to each individual
product, we also identified two application software (i.e. disassembly planning
system and disassembly process design system), which are to be implemented to
support DP and DE.
