and Sheila pretty much remained silent.
It was interesting to try to tease out what was being said between the different
dialects, for lack of a better term. My Malay was very rudimentary; Bot had a different dialect even though we could communicate somewhat; and the people we
interviewed seemed to have a different dialect as well. But we did our best and all
