Durability and service life 27
considering the stochastic nature of degradation mechanisms like chlorideinduced corrosion, etc. The difficulty with these kinds of stochastic models is to select the distribution function of the variables and to define the
appropriate parameter values. The modelled service life might be sensitive
to these choices. Further research is certainly needed.
