Marcos Antonio Leite Frandoloso has a Ph.D. in Architecture, Energy and Environment by
the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (ETSAB—UPC), Barcelona, Spain (2018). His research
focuses on eco-efficiency, university campuses’ environmental management, urban and environmental planning. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism by the Federal
University of Pelotas (1986) and a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Federal University of
Rio Grande do Sul (2001). Professor Frandoloso has vast experience in Architecture and Urbanism
with emphasis on building and environmental planning. His research interests involve energy efficiency, energy and the environment, sustainable construction, bioclimatic architecture, architectural heritage, eco-design and urban ecology. He has been working as a professor at University of
Passo Fundo (UPF) since 1995. He has previously taught courses in Architecture and Urbanism,
Environmental Engineering and Product Design at University of Passo Fundo as well as other
graduate courses promoted by different institutions. He has recently been invited to serve as a
professor at the graduate school program of Civil and Environmental Engineer of UPF.
Eduardo Nischespois Scorsatto holds a BA in Architecture and Urbanism by the University
of Passo Fundo (UPF), Passo Fundo, Brazil (2019). He also holds a graduate degree (2018)
from the Lisbon University Institute (ISCTE-IUL), Lisbon, Portugal in ‘Collaborative Territories:
Processes, Projects, Intervention and Entrepreneurship’. He was granted a scholarship from UPF’s
extension project ‘Beira Trilhos’ in Passo Fundo, Brazil (2015, 2018 and 2019). He is currently
working on his master’s degree at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) whose
focus is on Urban and Regional Planning.
