Résumé :
Le présent travail porte sur la cartographie de l’herbier à Posidonie sur toute la cote Algérienne
en se basant sur des images satellitaires et de comprendre ainsi les facteurs influençant sa
distribution géographique sur l’ensemble du littoral Algérien. Durant cette étude nous avons
étudié la réponse spectrale de la posidonie pour développer un programme et extraire que la
posidonie. Cela a permis d’observer une densité est majoritairement élevée au centre par rapport
au secteur Est et Ouest du pays. Dans l’Est Béjaïa est la wilaya avec la plus faible densité de
l’herbier et Annaba avec la plus haute densité. Du côté Ouest, Oran est en tête de la liste contre
Tlemcen ou la posidonie est presque absente. Enfin Les facteurs hydrodynamiques et les
caractéristiques du fond marin, jouent un rôle clé dans la détermination de l’emplacement de
l’herbier de posidonie

Abstract:
This study focuses on the mapping of Posidonia seagrass along the entire Algerian coast using
satellite images to understand the factors influencing its geographical distribution across the
Algerian coastline. During this study, we analyzed the spectral response of Posidonia to develop
a program to extract only posidonia. This allowed us to observe that the density is mostly higher
in the central region compared to the eastern and western sectors of the country. In the east,
Béjaïa is the province with the lowest density of seagrass, while Annaba has the highest density.
In the west, Oran tops the list, whereas Posidonia is almost absent in Tlemcen. Finally,
hydrodynamic factors and seabed characteristics play a key role in determining the location of
the Posidonia seagrass.
