To sum up the cultural ecosystem services of mangroves in the frame work of
Indian Sundarbans, it can be concluded that all the stakeholders of mangrove ecosystem in the eastern sector of Sundarbans imparted maximum weightage on the
worship of Bonobibi (CMDGS = 696.5) followed by Dakshin Rai (CMDGS = 444.2),
Manik Pir (CMDGS = 365.9), Ola Bibi (CMDGS = 282.4) and Ma Manasha
(CMDGS = 256.2). This result thus reveals that people of all ranks of the society in
Sundarbans worship Bonobibi as the principal Goddess and believe her as the protector of the mangrove ecosystem as a whole including the floral and faunal communities. It is, however, interesting to note that the local inhabitants worship Ma
