something well-crafted, visually. According to Sennett, ‘the long history of crafting
clay shows three ways of becoming aroused consciously by materials, in altering,
marking, or identifying them with ourselves. Each act has a rich inner structure: metamorphosis can occur through development of a type-form, combination of forms, or
domain shift’ [42, p. 144]. The biomorphic link to ancient Egyptian method of crafting
the clay brick with a frog indentation thus improved brickmaking into a high-quality
light product.
Crafting luxury, defined herein as ‘the process of making a high-quality goods’,
which is a by-product of the desire to grapple more than what you intended pay,
keeping in mind the respect for the environment, exposes the richness of reality. In the
sense of the architectural object, the Yves Saint Laurent Museum thus provoked one to
observe the origin and quality of the organic brickmaking process in crafting luxury,
leading to unearthing biomimicry associations so as to explicate what ‘more-ish’
qualities imply.
