1.3 Research Status of Resourceful Utilization of Organic
Wastes in Villages and Towns
Organic wastes in villages and towns in China demonstrate four major pollution
characteristics, i.e. large quantity, poor quality, low price and much harm. In view of
the characteristics of organic wastes in villages and towns in different regions, the
multiple technical system and comprehensive management mode for differentiated
resourceful utilization of organic wastes are built according to local conditions. The
aim is to provide technical supports for resourceful utilization of organic wastes in
villages and towns in different regions in China. Based on the current situations of
popularization of biological fermentation and biogas projects of organic wastes in
villages and towns, environmental safety of resourceful utilization of secondary products is improved through research and development of key techniques and upgrading
of the existing techniques. This forms the technical system of multistage utilization
of organic wastes in villages and towns. In accordance with the production situations of organic wastes from tourism in villages and towns, the integrated mode of
waste disposal and tourism landscape was proposed according to local conditions,
which gives new connotation to village and town tourism. In view of characteristics
of organic wastes from pedlars’ markets in villages and towns, the differentiated
resourceful utilization mode with optimized classification and collection was put
forward, which provides a model for resourceful disposal of organic wastes from
pedlars’ markets in villages and towns.
The resourceful utilization of organic wastes in villages and towns in China is challenged by the difficulties including the lack of applicable technologies and equipment.
Aiming at this, this book systematically introduces the research on technologies for
differentiated resourceful utilization of organic wastes of villages and towns. Around
the main clue of the differentiated resourceful utilization of organic wastes in villages and towns, this book focuses on general thinking of the identification of source
characteristics of organic wastes, integration of generic technologies, development
of key technologies and research on management modes. Based on this, organic
wastes in villages and towns, the organic wastes are classified as scattered breeding
ones, mixed wastes from courtyard, mixed wastes from pedlars’ market and tourist
catering wastes in view of the sources. In accordance with characteristics and scales
of organic wastes in different villages and towns, the key technologies and practical
equipment for differentiated resourceful utilization of organic wastes in villages and
towns in China were deeply researched. The purpose is to optimize and upgrade the
key technologies, such as high-efficiency energy regeneration and fertilization suiting for being promoted in towns and villages, research a complete set of diversified
equipment, and compile technical standards for quality-based resourceful utilization
of organic wastes in villages and towns. In addition, it aims to establish a base of
research and development of technologies and equipment for resourceful utilization
of organic wastes in villages and towns and their industrialization. It also attempts
to promote the manageable technical mode of low pollution, cost, and maintenance
