The first part of the study focused on the analysis of physical parameters of seawater, such as
temperature, salinity, pH and conductivity, turbidity, organic matter content and nutrient
determination. Seawater samples were collected at different stations and analyzed to
determine how these parameters varied by the geographic location of each station. The results
showed that these parameters varied considerably between sites. The second part of the study
focused on microbiological analysis and the third part presented sediment analysis, including
particle size studies and the level of organic matter in the sediments.
Results obtained from various analyses, including physicochemical parameters, particle size
and nutrient concentrations, help identify factors and causes that influence levels of chemical
nutrients that disturb the marine environment.
The results obtained from this study showed that the beach dunes present urban pollution.
