This information can lead us to the identification of Potential Pollution Sources because
landfills contain waste materials that can potentially pose environmental risks, especially if
located near the coast. It can also impact local ecosystems and wildlife habitats and contribute
to water pollution, particularly through leachate discharge. Landfills may be susceptible to
coastal hazards such as erosion, flooding, and storm surge.
This information is crucial for sustainable coastal planning, management, and protection of
vulnerable coastal environments.
