Business/industrial zones attracts investments, generates employment, and foster regional
development. They provide a supportive ecosystem for businesses to thrive and contribute to
sustainable economic growth. The (figure 21) presents the designations of the zones and their
area in the municipalities.

IV.1.6.
Landuse
Skikda is a coastal province and a very important city for the Algerian economy. The landuse
of the city increased from 1990 to 2020. Agglomerations are distributed on Collo’s plain,
Tamalous’s plain, Saf Saf valley, Azzaba Bassan and Sanhaja plain (figure 22).
