6.12 Use Colors in Graphs
The graphs presented so far (Sects. 6.1 to 6.11) were all in black and white
(greyscale), for a few reasons:
• Color can represent an issue for color-blind people
• Some versions of this book might get published in black and white
• Leaving color aside allowed focusing on other graph features
But it is now time to introduce colors in graphs, as the use of color does definitely
improve the visual appearance of graphs, and the ease of understanding and tracking.
