Animate Your Bullet Points
I will never emphasize enough: use as little text as possible. But if you do include a
list of bullet points, you should animate the bullet points so that they only appear
one at a time. Why?
• Visual information should always appear exactly when needed, just ahead of
time (Sect. 2.2)
• If you provide text ahead of talking about it, the audience will read your bullet
points and stop listening to you
• Too much info at the same time can be overwhelming
To animate a list of bullet points, use built-in software animation tools. Once
again, use the simplest possible animation (“appear”). See images below.
