Choose the Right Screen Ratio
Most projectors use the 16:9 screen ratio. But some people keep using the old 4:3
ratio. As a result, two black columns appear on each side. And one loses an opportunity to use that very useful space on the screen.
Prior to presenting, ask for the screen ratio. If you started with the wrong screen
ratio, beware of changes that can be made to your presentation as you transfer it to
the appropriate ratio. Many images and text boxes will get distorted. Get ready for
having to fix everything. Including possibly the background template!
You can also adjust the screen ratio in line with paper formats (e.g. A4) in case
you want to use your slide presentation software to create printed documents!
