Booster Fans
Booster fans are located inside the mine to assist the main fan in certain locations.
They are used to improve the working environment in specific zones when a higher
airflow rate or air speed is needed. For example, they are used in areas of the mine
where the airflow has been split between several galleries. In this case, if the resistance
of one of the galleries is greater, they can help to increase the airflow inside it. Booster
fan’s main disadvantage is that their installation can decrease airflow rates to other
areas
