2.4 Testing Criteria
All the test coupons such as tensile specimens were as per ASTM E8, metallography
for the grain size measurement as per ASTM E112 [13]. Test samples were cut using
Wire EDM cut, and the tests were performed according to the applicable standard
as mentioned above. The sample length was kept at 25 mm for the tensile test, and
while cutting the sample, the EDM wire traverse speed was 0.5 mm/min.
3 Result and Discussions
All the final processed plates after completing the FSP and before testing for results
are as shown in Fig. 6. It provides an overview of the results of FSP conducted on
various samples.
For a cumulative understanding of the outcomes of this project, all the parameters
and findings have been shown in Table 1.
