The profiles of water and air temperature at sites 16 and 17 are similar because
they are placed in the same valley, of Suceava River. The water temperature minimum occurs at 7:00, preceded by the air minimum, which occurs at approximately
5:30. The water temperature maximum occurs at 16:30, while the air temperature
maximum occurs at approximately 12:30.
Mean water temperature of Brodina, Vit , ˘
au, Pozen and Suceava (at Straja and
D˘ arm˘ anes , ti) rivers in July 2011 were: 15.86, 16.6, 15.92, 17.06 and 19.85 °C. The
mean air temperatures were: 14.86, 16.18, 18.98, 17.58 and 20.96 °C.
The mean water temperature of Solonet, S , ug˘ au and Dorna rivers described in
Fig. 14.16 were: 2.72, 2.31 and 0.23 °C. The equivalent air temperatures were: 1.78,
1.09 and −0.7 °C. Solonet , River (Fig. 14.16a) had a surprisingly perfect match of
minima (8:00) and maxima (15:00) times in water and air temperature during October
27th, 2011–January 4th, 2012 time interval. The minimum water temperature in
site 20 (Fig. 14.16b) was recorded at 7:30 (7:00 for the air temperature), while the
maximum was recorded at 15:30 (air—14:30).
