12 Water Resources from Romanian Upper Tisa Basin

12.6 Recommendations
A minimal and limited anthropogenic intervention in the mountainous (where the
surface flow forms) are recommended, in order to maintain the high quality of water
resource for the natural and anthropogenic environments.
The future studies may be directed on the environmental features (study of diffuze
and areal pollution sources, protection of the natural habitats etc.), but, also, on the
hydrological hazards management, because of the very high rate of torrentiality, especially on the western slopes of the basin. Several important surfaces was declared as
protected natural areas, without integrated studies related the anthropogenic habitats
affected by the flash-floods. For example, along the Vis , eu Corridor almost every year
destructive floods are present, with a very serious costs for households, infrastructure
network, riverbed rehabilitation.
Concerning the water supply, regional and zonal studies may be realized, according the human habitats extension or economic development of the localities. The
water sources and traitment plant must be constituted in the mountainous area and
connected with the localities from the low altitude spaces through pipelines of large
capacity. By this the clean water is assured, and the sustainable development can
be made according modern and european reglementations. Regional or zonal water
companies can be organized.
