It has the typology RO11, the average altitude is 554 m, the substrate consists of
sand, the water course is sinuous, the average width of the bed is 34 m, and the slope
has an average value of 1‰.
Lakes
In addition to river hydrometry, the Siret Basin Water Administration also monitors
the lakes. Each hydrological station has under administration a number of lakes. The
Hydrological Station Bacau monitors most of the lakes:
• On Bistrita river
– Garleni Lake
– Lilieci Lake
– Bacau Lake
• On the river Siret
– Galbeni Lake
– Racaciuni Lake
– Beresti Lake
– Horgesti Lake
Hydrological Station Suceava, which has a total of 4 lakes to be metric:
• Siret:
– Rogojesti Lake
– Bucecea Lake
• Dragomirna—Dragomirna Lake
• Somuzul Mare—Somuz II Moara Lake
The Hydrological Station Piatra Neamt monitors three lakes, on the Bistrita—The
Izvoru Muntelui Lake, respectively on the Bicaz—The Rosu Lake.
The Poiana Uzului Lake, at the Onesti Hydrological Station, on the River Uz
and the Calimanesti Lake at the Focsani Hydrological Station, on the Siret River,
complete the list of 15 lakes which are monitored in the Siret River Basin (Fig. 11.12).
