According to [27] it is no longer allowed to pump drinkable water directly from the
well into the network. Moreover, the water quality declined, and it no longer meets the
requirements for sodium and nitrate indicators. A water facility is about to be built,
comprising a storage tank with the capacity of 1200 m
3 , which contains the necessary
volume for the fire reserve, the volume of damage and the volume of compensation
for Dulcesti and two other neighbouring villages Mosneni, and Pecineaga. There will
be built, as well, an electrochlorination plant, a pumping station which will ensure
the minimum necessary pressure in the distribution network of Dulcesti.
In the vision of the newly developed water management project in Dulcesti, the
water source is represented by the transport pipeline Medgidia-Eforie-Mangalia,
requiring water precloration, according to the standards in force.
Beside Dulcesti, this main will supply with water either Pecineaga or Mosneni
villages. To provide the necessary pressure to consumers and fire hydrants, two
pumping groups are required in the same station:
• Dulcesti water pumping group, consisting of two identical pumps, equipped with
frequency converters.
