It may be mentioned that in KMC infrastructure, carcass disposal and management
are considered separately from solid waste management, but in absence of organized
infrastructure, it becomes a major environmental issue. At present, for KMC, only
10–12 carcass-carrying vehicles are in operation/day.
There are three processes in operation for dead animal disposal in general.
