Unconfined aquifer is present at the subsurface and the water is stored in fractures.
Weathered zone extended up to 20 feet. The water table has been decreasing year
by year and at present, it is at the depth of 200 feet. In 1984, it is at 100 feet depth.
At least, two recharge pits shall be created in each sector. Necessary arrangement
shall be provided to filter unwanted materials. Periodical maintenance of recharge
pits shall be arranged (e.g. poor maintenance, Photo 11).
