Preface
Reactive and functional polymers are essentially linked to the chemistry of polymers and their applications. The multiple tasks that they have accomplished in our
recent history, and how they will help new advances in different crucial fields such
as agriculture, environmental remediation, food, medicine, among others are indisputable. Volume 1 of this book has been focused on polymers based on epoxy resins, lignin, polyurethane and silicone, as the raw materials for the manufacture of
reactive and functional polymers. I thank Dr. Runcang Sun (Associate Editor for
