It is important to note that data were used at the municipal scale. Subsequently,
the average between the GD1 and GD8 municipalities was calculated to obtain the
final value for each indicator and for each water management unit. In addition, data
from the Brazilian Atlas of Human Development are only available for 1991, 2000
and 2010. Therefore, the data for the unavailable periods were estimated by applying
linear regression equations. The indicator system and data source definitions are
presented in Table 1.
