Table 4.6 showed that under raised beds cultivation, 1070.1 billion cubic meters
could be saved, or 18% of the applied irrigation water to Egyptian clover under
traditional cultivation. In this case, no increase in the cultivated area will occur and
the total production will increase to 50,858.6 million tons, or by 13%, compared to
the total production of Egyptian clover under traditional cultivation.
