[110]. In the presence of transfection reagent group, the DNA prism exhibited the
highest knockdown efficiency when carrying three aptamers and three Rab26 siRNA.
Further introducing functional nucleic acid component can confer DNA hydrogel
many dynamic behaviors [111].
Besides as carrier for gene therapeutic molecules, the hydrogel also received wide
application in delivering anticancer drugs or combinational therapeutic molecules
including anticancer drugs and gene molecules. Early in 2013, Wu et al. [112]
constructed aptamer-modified DNA nanoassembly where X-shaped DNA served
as the core connector to link various Y-shaped functional DNAs bearing targeting
aptamers, intercalated anticancer drugs, and therapeutic antisense oligonucleotides
(Fig. 4.8a). Modifying the basic nanostructure with acrydite groups allowed their
