About the Editors
Dr. Abdelnaser Omran is currently working at the
Faculty of Engineering Sciences under Bright Star University in Libya. He has written widely on environmental engineering and waste management issues in Africa,
Asia, and Europe and he has also contributed many
other publications in the field of project and construction
management, sustainable-development-related issues,
and risk management. So far, he has published more
than 250 articles in international journals and proceedings papers at local and international conferences.
Besides, he has written seven books. He served as an
international reviewer and an editorial member for quite
a number of international journals, and he also served as
scientific committee member for many local and international conferences and seminars.
Dr. Odile Schwarz-Herion studied law (majors criminology and criminalistics) in Freiburg i.Br. and industrial engineering, including advanced manufacturing
and IT, as well as economic sciences in Stuttgart. Her
university degrees include an MBA from the Stuttgart
Institute of Management and Technology (S.I.M.T.) as
well as a PhD in economic sciences with a focus on
sustainable development from the University of
Hohenheim in 2005. During and after her studies,
Schwarz-Herion worked as a sales engineer in large
international companies and later on as an SD
