An Italian national organization devoted to Collodi’s genius (The Fondazione
Carlo Collodi) has amalgamated an inventory of the astounding proliferation of
translations, adaptations, illustrations, imaginative by-products, sequels, and interpretations of Pinocchio from 1883 to the present. It is a formidable legacy encompassing video games and comic books, plays, musicals, toys, memorabilia,
animation of every sort, movies, television series, and countless language editions.
Pinocchio has breathed life into thousands of subsequent renditions and works of art
indebted to this remarkable creation.
