The numbers will have changed by this time tomorrow, with approximately
4 new plant species being formally discovered each day by researchers. Even those
interpolations will necessarily be skewed, impoverished, as the actual totality of
species on earth continues to be debated and impressively escalated. All the systematics correspond to previous Linnaean binomial nomenclature (with a Swedish phylogenic logic, linguistically Northern Scandinavian, but deliberately distinct from
the Danish Bible, with its own Swedish Gustav Bava Bible of 1541; two genders,
vestiges of Old Norse, a morphology like English, and a few phonetic anomalies
somewhere literarily between military decorum and the modernism of August
Strindberg—that is the structure of Swedish taxonomy). Linnaeus commenced his
endeavor to name all of the animals by naming plants. His earliest instincts regarding what would become evolution was the evolution of reproductive organs across
