similarities (shared understanding) between information. The resulting Realtime Linked Dataspace is rich with knowledge and semantics about water usage
performance indicators and forms the basis for real-time water usage analytics
and other applications with the help of support services. A key aspect of
integration based on Linked Data principles is the re-use or mapping of existing
vocabularies and ontologies for describing water data, thus facilitating semantic
linkage within and beyond the dataspace.
• Dataspace Support Services: The support services are designed to simplify
the consumption of the Real-time Linked Dataspace by encapsulating common
services for reuse (e.g. search and query, entity management, event processing,
etc.). These support services exploit Linked Data technologies and provide additional tools for aggregation, analysis, and improvement of basic data gathered
through water metering. Furthermore, these services enrich the aggregated data
for complex analytical queries. The primary purpose of these services is to
